Welcome to AEA PD Online
This is the home for our facilitated online courses. Each course here features a highly qualified instructor and is available for license renewal or graduate credit (available through either Drake, Viterbo, or Morningside). Our courses are asynchronous, meaning that individual students log in at different times to complete the work, which past participants continuously mention as one of the best features of taking professional development through AEA PD Online. You can learn at your own schedule, from the comfort of your own home.
In order to take a course through AEA PD Online, you first must register via our online course catalog (see the link below). If you have already registered for a course, to get started, login with your Google account (below), your AEA Online account (below), or create an account here. Mandatory and Non-Mandatory Trainings
AEA PD Online offers over 100 completely self-paced trainings for Iowa educators. Topics range from the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse and OSHA topics, to instructional coaching, digital citizenship, financial literacy, and the universal constructs. Plus, Iowa school districts can deliver their own district trainings to their staff through the system.
Our newest form of professional development is our self-paced courses. Looking for a course to start right away, or need more flexibility with deadlines? These courses are perfect for you. You can start any time and go at any pace. We offer license renewal and (in some cases) graduate credit for courses. Topics include the Practicing Educator, Google Apps 101, Digital Citizenship, and the Exceptional Learner. Find out more here.
In ancient Greece, the "Agora" was the meeting place where the community would gather to share and discuss ideas. Our Agora is a collection of online communities for discussion, collaboration, sharing of educational practices and lessons, as well as places to gather information from statewide organizations. Check out our communities here.
